Background

I started my career as a data scientist, but I realized pretty quickly that I cared more about creating impact for customers than perfecting the math. That realization led me to product management, where I get to obsess over the problem behind the problem—understanding not just what's broken, but why it matters to people, their teams, and their business.

Most recently, I was Director of PM at CockroachDB, where I led a team of four PMs overseeing a broad range of the product—from core database characteristics (performance, resilience, scale) to SQL functionality, schema management to query optimization. Beyond product execution, I drove cross-team processes and led our strategic market segmentation initiative, balancing strategy, process design, and hands-on execution.

What drives me is digging into the "why" behind every request. I'm a believer in understanding the real impact—not just what customers can't do in the product, but how it affects them as humans, their bosses, and their business. This approach helps teams see solutions beyond what customers are asking for, because at the end of the day, it's the outcome that matters.

When I'm not thinking about products, you'll find me hiking with my dog ⛰️🐕, skiing with the kids ⛷️, cheering on my beloved Stanford Cardinal 🌲, or strategizing my way to another Scoresheet Baseball championship 🏆 (three-time champion and counting).
